Background

Views of the Neuse is part of the CUAHSI (Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc.) Hydrologic Information Systems (HIS) component.  As of April 1, 2004,  the CUAHSI HIS is officially underway  with funding from the National Science Foundation. 

The purpose of this website is to provide examples of tools for viewing  hydrologic and hydrographic geospatial data describing the surface, subsurface and atmosphere.  The Neuse River Basin in North Carolina is used as the case study.  The datasets were assembled by Duke University and are available from their website.
